Hello again!

I've been busy.  I haven't taken time in two weeks to write in my journal.  And journaling is still more important to me than blogging.  Sorry folks, but I don't share ALL of my feelings on this blog. 
So where did I leave off..........

We went to Townsend for my niece's and soon to be sister-in-law's baptism.  It was a really special afternoon to witness to wonderful and amazing individuals be baptized and confirmed as members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Russ had to return home for work, but we stayed a few extra days and played on the farm.  The children rode bikes and we fed the lambs, but the highlight was riding my nephew's motorcycle around.  I was glad that there were a lot of kids that wanted to ride because it gave me an excuse to ride around for a long time!

 Then, Julie, my brother's fiance, took the kids horseback riding.  They loved it.  I think Eliza might want to move in with them after they are married and settled.  We'll have to keep tabs on her whenever we go over so she doesn't stow away in their barn or something!!!!

 This summer we have had wonderful weather for swimming.  This is the first summer that my children have wanted to return to the outdoor swimming pool.  Usually the first visit of the summer they get too cold from the wind and don't want to go back.  But not this year.  We've been several times and they are all good swimmers!

 The children and I headed to Idaho Falls to catch up with three of my college roommates.  We went to the park in Rexburg and played in the splash park and rode the carousel.

 We spent an afternoon at Egin Lake.  The kids caught three snails and they are currently trying to stay alive in a mason jar on our counter because they had to come home with us.

 We played in the river by the Idaho Falls Temple and the children attempted to catch minnows.

And then they floated down the canal.  These kids love playing in water!  And nothing beats a yummy s'more at the end of a fun summer day!  We returned from Idaho just in time to go on the Pioneer campout and trek with our ward.  It was a long two weeks, but really fun.  I enjoyed my visit with my roommates and catching up with their lives.  It is so good to have friendships that last forever!!!
