Picking up the children

Walking to the courtyard of the orphanage.

We handed out beach balls and jump ropes that our friends donated.  The children were so excited and I couldn't get them out of the bag fast enough.  Nor could we blow up the beach balls as fast as they wanted and they had a hard time understanding how to blow them up themselves!

It was so fun to see all of these children playing.  We played with them for an hour or so.  They all wanted to show us how they could jump or kick the ball.  Just begging for attention.

The next day we met our POA t the orphanage and signed the release papers.  And then we were able to take our children.  They left the orphanage with only the clothes on their backs.

Our POA, Kofi, who helped make this possible!!!

First night, getting ready for bed!

Our dear friends, the Houssians, who helped us so much this trip.

Getting ready to board the plane.

A few crackers to keep everybody happy.  The children did really great on the planes and we were so grateful we made it through customs and immigration without any problems, and we made all of our connections, with no lay-overs!!  So good to be home!
