A perfect day

It was a wonderful summer day.  I went for a long run in the morning.  We did our chores and centers and then ran errands and visited the library.  The kids are zipping through their books and we are going to the Public Library twice a week and the Elementary Library once a week.
We headed to the Splash Park in the afternoon.  We don't get many perfect days with hot temperatures and no wind, but yesterday was perfect and the kids had a blast.
Usually it is windy and that makes it too cold and they won't run through the water.

They loved soaking up the sun.  This is the first year that they have said they are "Sun Bathing".  Not sure where that has come from because I am not a sun bather!!
Of course, this one had to bring some books.  She finished two in between playing in the water.
We roasted hot dogs and smores for dinner and then headed to the ball park.  We love baseball games and Orbit!!!
Orbit signed their hands.  They were so excited!

She finished another book inbetween the excitement of the game.  Our team won and we rode our bikes home.  It was late and we told the children it was totally ok to sleep in.  Henry prayed that we would all be able to sleep in in the morning.  And guess what...................they did.  Sleeping in until 7 is a big deal around here!
