A new resident

Yesterday we started the day off right with smiley waffles.
Then we headed to the library and the big kids wanted to pull the little kids in the trailers.  They rode the whole way there and back.
The afternoon was perfect for a visit to the splash park.  Last week of free entry.  Had to take advantage of that.
There was a duck in the pool, enjoying a nice swim with no children.  Wonder if he will be there next week when the pool is open?  Why isn't the pool already open?  I don't know.  I'm not in charge of that!

Little buddies enjoying running through the water together.  It's always more fun with a partner.
And of course, we brought a book along in case the water didn't provide enough entertainment!  I love that my children love to read.
Today we went to Giant Springs Park and fed the fish.
And maybe tried to touch one.
 Walked across the springs.
 Absolutely beautiful.

Mood swings of a two year old.
 And monkey bar champs.

June has just figured out how to do monkey bars.  She has three or four blisters on each hand and they hurt so badly.  But everytime we go to a park, she heads right for the monkey bars.  I suppose the hurting will stop sometime and then she will have callouses.

 A summer treat.
While the children were relaxing, I spotted this cute little guy in our tree. I'm not good with birds. Is he a finch or a canary? Can you tell? I spent twenty minutes trying to get a picture of him. He didn't hold still very much. There are actually two living in our tree and trying to eat our Nanking cherries. I'm not entirely sure how they ended up in our tree, but I like them, even if they are snitching the cherries.

And we finished the night with dutch oven pizza, baths, and early bedtime. I needed a chance to catch my breath and have a minute to myself. Russ was gone all week for work, but he just got home. I'm so glad!
