Making plans.....lots of plans.

We found out this week that we don't have to wait for the court date to be set in order to make travel arrangements.  All along we thought we had to be present in court.  Oh, but things are different than we thought and having finally asked the right questions, we found out that we need to meet Samuel before the court date.  So, we are starting to look at when we might go to Ghana and we are thinking it might be before Christmas!!!!!!

I can hardly contain my excitement.  And so with planning to make a huge trip, we are also planning another fundraiser.  A dinner and silent auction.  We want some feed back.  How much do people charge for a fundraiser dinner?  What do we serve?  And how do we draw people to it?

Also, if you have any items that you would like to donate to the silent auction, it would be much appreciated.

This is exciting.  Really exciting.  We are going to Ghana..........to meet Samuel!!!!!!

  1. Have you considered a burger burn? (-A big picnic at a park to raise funds). You could also consider setting up a booth at one of the local craft or country fairs that are going to start popping up for the Christmas season. For that you could do a small bake sale and have a large donation jar for those who don't want to buy from the bake sale. Some events have special slots that they will reserve for fund raising and let you have booth space for free or greatly reduced. You could also ask to set up donation jars at local businesses (dental offices, flower shops, chiropractors ,,wink,,). I am so excited for you guys. We miss you!
